Beautiful Long Island Weather Ahead
Now that yesterday’s cold front is long gone offshore we can look ahead to some terrific weather for the next 4 or 5 days at least. Tonight begins the first of many nights ahead of comfortably cool conditions under mostly clear skies. The satellite loop shows clouds with the front offshore. There are some instability clouds well inland north and west of us and they aren’t really an issue. Its slow building large high pressure from Canada that will be the primary driver through the weekend.
Tonight’s lows will be in the middle 50s to lower 60s. These are the nights where the Eastern half of Long Island can see temperatures drop about 5 to 10 degrees lower especially in the Pine Barrens.
BEAUTIFUL WEATHER THURSDAY MORNING FORECAST LOWS
The coolest air will be here Friday and Saturday morning and I would not be surprised to see some spots drop down into the upper 40s. The days from Thursday through Sunday will be nice and sunny with highs generally in the mid to upper 70s. Winds will be turning from northwest to north and then north northeast over the next several days as the high builds to our north. No rain is in the forecast through at least Monday.
