This technically is the last weekend of spring and it is also Fathers Day weekend . Overall it doesn’t look too bad for Long Island. Yes there is the threat for downpours and thunderstorms each of the next 3 days but most of the time it won’t be raining so I would go ahead with outdoor plans at this point.
This evening we have a wind off the ocean and we have been dealing with patchy clouds all day today. Temperatures are in the 60s right now and will head to the upper 50s and lower 60s overnight.
Depending on which models you look at, we are either going to get scattered downpours over the weekend with much of the time dry, or hardly any downpours at all. I think the best approach is to acknowledge the risk through Sunday Temperatures Friday will be in the 60s. Then it turns warm and humid Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 70s to near 80 both days.
