Today’s rainfalls were well above weather model forecasts and as it turned out there was more rain in Western areas like Nassau County and Western Suffolk with lesser amounts to the east. This small storm system along the coast has now moved up into New England and upstate NY taking all the rain with it.
Weather conditions will improve tonight with leftover clouds and lows in the 40s. The next 3 days we will see sunshine and clouds with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
Saturday we begin the transition to colder air and there will be some showers as we switch air masses Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures will be in the 50s Saturday but just in the 40s on Sunday. The longer range looks cold and you might get some early skiing opportunities upstate and New England.
