It almost looks like a sea breeze front with thunderstorms developing along and just north of it. These storms haven’t moved very much in the last hour or two. As the daytime heating continues look for some other thunderstorms to form with heavy downpours. We can see a heavy cell forming in South Queena and Brookyln while others are snaking eastward much like the path along and just north of the Southern State Parkway. Rainfall amounts on the order of several inches are possible from these thunderstorms if they sit around long enough.

You can also see the general rotation is to the northwest around the developing upper low to our west. This upper low will create a very unstable atmosphere for the next 2 days and we will likely see more convective development on Monday and Tuesday. The atmosphere looks particularly ripe for strong thunderstorms on Monday so we will be watching this closely.
