Long Island Father's Day Weekend Looking Good Fishing Boating Golf Tennis Cigars

This weekend will be a nice one on Long Island for the most part. Certainly today looks great with lots of sunshine. Give Dad 2 days of celebration whether he is golfing, fishing, boating or anything outdoors it will be fine and dandy today (cigars are optional). There are no weather issues today. No rain is forecast. Beach goers will enjoy lots of sun with temperatures in the 70s to near 80 with local sea breezes at the beaches in the afternoon. Not much is on the satellite picture with nice clear skies overhead. It should be the case for much if not all of the day.

Skies tonight will see some high clouds move in. We will be transitioning over to a warmer and more humid air mass for Sunday. Father’s Day on Long Island should be rain free and in spite of some clouds at the start we should break out into some sunshine on Sunday. I also think that thunderstorms hold off until Sunday evening or more than likely Sunday night. Temperatures Sunday will be much like Saturday..in the 70s along the shore and upper 70s to just over 80 inland.

We could see some thunderstorms Sunday night. The frontal boundary will be sitting over us on Monday and it will be another warm humid day with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. There is a good chance for thunderstorms Monday late afternoon and evening and some of those could be on the strong side.
