Hot & Humid Late Week & Weekend
Long Island saw some rather hot temperatures today as highs reached the low to mid 90s. Once the last of any thunderstorms clear the coast in the next few hours, weather conditions will improve. We have another shot of dry air coming down from the north so for the next 2 days we will see sunshine and low humidity with highs in the middle 80s Tuesday and the lower 80s on Wednesday.

However with respect to the radar we do have one last gasp of thunderstorms which are moving southeastward. If they hold together we will get clipped by them between now and midnight before dry air moves in and skies slowly begin to clear out.
Thursday we will start to see temperatures rise with sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 80s. Then Friday through Sunday we will see hot temperatures. There is a chance for thunderstorms Friday night and then Saturday we will be in a very hot air mass. Temperatures this coming weekend could reach the middle 90s.
