If you area headed to the South Shore beaches for an evening swim be advised that the rip current risk remains high this evening as we have gusty southwest winds to 30 knots at times. This can create dangerous rip currents so be extra cautious and follow lifeguard instructions. Swim only in designated safe swimming areas.
As for Saturday which will be a brutally hot day at the beaches with highs in the 90s, the Rip Current risk will remain an issue.

As far as the weather is concerned there is the risk for a thunderstorm between now and midnight as we see them on the radar to the northwest. Then it is sunshine for the weekend with highs in the middle 90s Saturday and in the lower 90s on Sunday. No thunderstorms are forecast this weekend.
