Humidity Higher Thursday
Long Island has enjoyed some great weather the last few days. No issues for overnight or for the daytime on Thursday. The humidity will be climbing a bit on Thursday and it will feel more uncomfortable. But from the standpoint of most hot humid summer days, Thursday will still be easy to take. Sunshine should dominate into the afternoon before clouds from an approaching cold front arrive later in the afternoon. During Thursday evening we could see an isolated shower or thunderstorm. Other than that, this may be the only chance for any rain at all through at least Sunday.
Friday’s humidity will edge lower later in the day and it will be very warm with some sunshine and a west wind. Highs Friday could get close to 90 degrees.
As for the weekend there are no worries. We should see sunshine on Saturday with highs in the middle 80s. Sunday we will have an onshore flow which will keep temperatures a little lower. Highs should be in the upper 70s to lower 80s especially near the shore. The humdity this weekend will be reasonable right through Sunday.
