Long Island Summer Beach Pool Weekend

Long Island Summer Beach Pool Weekend

Long Island Summer Beach Pool Weekend

Summer weekends on Long Island are certainly a lot more fun when the weather behaves itself and indeed this weekend we are going to see nice weather for both Saturday and Sunday with no weather issues. The satellite picture shows mainly clear skies overhead with just a few passing fair weather clouds here in there. We have been enjoying a stretch of low humidity and today is the last day of that as humidity levels will be on the rise over the weekend. However it will not be anything like last weekends extreme heat and humidity. Lows tonight will be mostly in the 60s Radars are going to get a vacation through Tuesday of next week.

Saturday we will see humidity come up somewhat with sunshine. The wind direction on Saturday will be from the east and then turn south which will be off the ocean all day. This is going to put a cap on temperatures with highs in the low to mid 80s and 70s to near 80 at the beaches. Sunday we are going turn the wind to the southwest which means inland areas will warm to the upper 80s to near 90 with mostly low 80s at the beaches. No thunderstorms are forecast. It is a smooth sale for both days.

We will continue the rain free conditions on Monday with sunshine hot and humid conditions with hgihs in the upper 80s and lower 90s with no thunderstorms forecast. The same will hold for Tuesday. The next cold front will be arriving late on Wednesday which means we could see some thunderstorms late in the day. All in all a great Long Island summer weekend lies ahead of us.
