Long Island Very Hot Weekend Mid to Upper 90s Inland
This is going to be a brutally hot and humid weekend on Long Island which makes it perfect if you want to head to the area beaches. The South Shore Beaches will be a little cooler than the North Shore Beaches. The southwest wind will keep the North Shore sea breeze at bay for most of the day. We are looking at highs in the low to mid 90s today as we have lots of sunshine. There is the chance for some scattered thunderstorms developing in the afternoon and evening today as a weak upper trough moves through. With all the daytime heating it is possible that a stronger or even an isolated severe thunderstorm develops so keep your eye to the sky and the radars this afternoon.

WEATHER RADAR
Saturday will be a hot humid day but thunderstorm chances will be very low thanks to a more stable air mass but we can’t rule an isolated thunderstorm completely out of the forecast. Sunshine will dominate most of the day however with highs in the low to middle 90s inland Nassau and Northern Suffolk County with 80s at the area south shore beaches. Sunday as we said earlier will be the hottest of the two weekend days with mid to upper 90s inland and 80s at the south shore beaches. East End highs will be in the mid 80s to near 90 inland and lower 80s at the beaches today through Sunday.
