Long Island Weather Raw Rainy Night
We are seeing rain advancing northeastward and it will be spreading over Long Island during the evening commute. This sets us up for a chilly rain overnight as temperatures fall into the upper 30s.
Radars are showing the rain to our south and west. North and west of Long Island the rain may change over to wet snow. There is always the chance a few wet snow flakes could mix in tonight over Long Island but I don’t even know if this is worth a mention. Rainfall amounts overnight will not be excessive and other than an inconvenience, it should not be a huge issue. Rainfall amounts will be in the quarter to half an inch range.

Weather conditions will improve on Wednesday with leftover clouds and some sun. Thursday sees the arrival of colder air and there could be a period of rain or snow as the cold air arrives. We will have more on this possibility later this evening.
