Pleasant Weather Continues, Humidity Back Late Week
Pleasant weather conditions continue this evening across Long Island with the sea breeze in and temperatures mostly in the 70s. More importantly the humidity remains very low and our stretch of pleasant weather continues through Wednesday and probably into Thursday though there are some minor complications. We do have a cold front approaching on Tuesday and you can see the clouds on the satellite loop to the west. This marks the leading edge of another dry shot of air. With the air so dry ahead of it, only an isolated shower or thunderstorm could be produced late Tuesday. Otherwise Tuesday we will see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
There are no weather issues tonight with showers and thunderstorms well north of us. Skies should be clear for a good part of the night with most lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
We will jump to Wednesday with sunshine and low humidity. Highs again will reach the mid to upper 70s. On Thursday humidity levels will start to come up but it should still be reasonably comfortable with sunshine and temperatures back into the 80s. You will feel the humidity Friday and Saturday with some sun both days. Highs will be in the mid 80s to near 90 except right along the shore where the sea breeze should penetrate inland. There is the chance for a scattered thunderstorm late Friday and Late Saturday but the chance for thunderstorms increase on Sunday as a cold front approaches.
