We had a very nice day across Long Island on Monday with sunshine and temperatures that topped out in the mid 70s to around 80. This is great for almost mid July. We have 2 more days with sunshine and no rain in the forecast. It looks to me that any scattered thunderstorms that develop on Wednesday will be well to the west and not an issue here. It will be another night with the air conditioner off tonight with mainly clear skies once the last of some cloud cover moves through this evening. Lows by morning will be in the low to mid 60s. with 50s in cool spots.

Tuesday looks great with lots of sunshine and warmer as we get into the 80s but the humidity will remain low. The satellite loop shows dry air continues to be fed southward by low pressure off the coast of Eastern Canada. Other than passing clouds the weather looks fine into Wednesday morning at least.
Humidity levels and temperatures will start to rise on Wednesday but we should still see a fair amount of sunshine and I’ve taken thunderstorms out of the forecast for Wednesday. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s.
Thursday the next cold front approaches though the dynamics with this front are not very impressive. Temperatures will be in the low 80s with a wind off the ocean and there is the chance for a late day thunderstorm. Friday might actually be the hot day this week with sunshine and a northwest wind and highs close to 90. However the humidity on Friday will be dropping again.
