We continue to see a slight northward adjustment to weather models which indicates that we will have a decent shot for a half inch to an inch of rain for Long Island beginning Saturday afternoon and lasting into early Sunday morning. However the rest of today continues nice and sunny with temperatures in the 70s and local sea breezes at the beaches.
Nothing has made an appearance on the radars as of yet and I don’t expect to see anything of consequence until Saturday morning. Skies will be clear tonight with some high clouds around daybreak or a little before. Then clouds thicken up with rain arriving by early afternoon from west to east and lasting until daybreak Sunday. The cold unstable air aloft will probably mean some showers possibly developing Sunday afternoon and evening. The bottom line is that this is not going to be a very nice weekend.
