Long Island Weather Mostly Calm Into Friday
Long Island Weather Mostly Calm Into Friday
Weather conditions on Long Island tonight are pretty reasonable. We have some clouds to the east and also some patchy clouds to the northwest and we seem to be straddling the line in between. I don’t expect Long Island weather to see serious issues through Thursday. Skies should at least be partially clear tonight with most lows in the 60s.
Wednesday we will see a mix of sun and clouds and there is the chance for a passing late day shower or isolated thunderstorm as an upper air disturbance moves through. Highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Then a another shot of dry air means a beautiful Thursday with lots of sunshine, low humidity and highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Friday it turns warmer and more humid and there could be a few thunderstorms running around but probably not until after dark. The next cold front should push through Saturday morning. As long as the front doesn’t stall and as long as the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy stay to the south, we should see skies gradually go partly sunny on Saturday with highs in the 80s. Sunday will be a beautiful day no matter what with sunshine and highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
