No doubt we have a busy radar this morning with rain over Long Island making for a wet morning commute. Rain should total in the 3/4 inch to 1 inch range with higher amounts possible along the South Shore.
The latest HRRR radar for 8am Tuesday shows rain overhead with some heavier downpours nearby. The back edge of the rain exits Long Island between noon and 2pm. Afterwards it looks like there could be nothing more than a leftover shower or just some light rain or drizzle for the evening commute.
