Low Clouds and Some Sun Thursday
Long Island is enjoying a very nice day with sunshine as high pressure builds on from the north. Temperatures today will reach the middle to upper 70s. The high to the north means an ocean wind and that flow off the ocean will increase tonight and Thursday. This introduces the possibility of low clouds and fog working their way inland from off the ocean late tonight and Thursday morning.
The presence of clouds and an ocean wind on Thursday will mean temperatures will be lower and probably not out of the 60s over central and eastern Suffolk County. I still think skies inland should at least go partly sunny though it might take all day for clouds and fog to lift at the coast if at all.

Friday we could see some passing showers with the next cold front but the front is not impressive so I’m not to concerned about it.
Saturday we should see sunshine and some clouds with highs in the 70s so it will be a good beach day. Sunday we have a stronger cold front approaching bringing rain in with highs in the upper 60s to near 70.
