Finally the dry air from the west and north has moved in and we have a Sunny Long Island Afternoon. Temperatures are rising into the 80s and humidity levels are dropping. We are finally rid of the last of the low clouds and fog that have been around parts of the island, especially the eastern half, since Sunday afternoon.
There is nothing on the radar to worry about so we are in good shape through Wednesday. Cooler air from the north comes down tonight with clear skies and lows in the lower 60s. Highs Wednesday will be in the mid to upper 70s.

Thursday we will see an increasing easterly flow from off the ocean so this might bring back the ocean low clouds and fog. We are going to have to monitor this. Pehaps the morning will be okay and then the low clouds follow. Friday a cold front will be moving through. Latest models would argue for some clouds and a passing shower with temperatures in the 70s.

As to the weekend coming up, Saturday looks good but for Sunday a stronger front and some gulf moisture means clouds arriving and rain developing at some point.
